Matthew 28:19-20 ~ ¹⁹ Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (NKJV)
Through Abraham, God initiated a Covenant with promises of blessing to all peoples of the earth by one of his descendants – Jesus Christ. These promises pertain to us as well, since we are the children of Abraham through faith in Christ. The Apostle Paul explains well that ours is a new covenant for we “…are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ…There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you” (Gal 3:26-29 NLT).
As we look to the future of this fellowship – we envision a new covenant community committed:
1. To glorify God by living faithfully in a covenant relationship with Him;
2. To connect with each other, together becoming more like Jesus;
3. To bring others across cultural, national, and generational lines to follow Him;
4. To be instruments of our Lord in our community and our world:
Hands to do justice,
Hearts to love mercy, and
Feet to walk humbly with our God.
Our Goal: Life-Long followers of Jesus Christ
At Covenant of Promise Christian Fellowship, it is our goal to be disciples, make disciples and to see people, individuals and families, become life-long followers of Jesus.
Our Daily followship: Connect with God through Prayer.
We were created for relationship with God. It is who we are! Prayer is a priority in our everyday lives. The greatest way to stay connected with God is through Prayer and Devotion to his Word, which lead to a full life of worship and obedience to his Word.
